Blessings In A Bag is a backpack program that has been serving and helping children in food insecure homes in the Fort Lupton community since 2006 by providing bags of supplemental weekend food. Each bag of food includes the five main food groups, while focusing on protein to aid in brain development. The program is funded by donations and grants, and is put together with the help of hard-working volunteers. Blessings In A Bag reaches all five schools in Fort Lupton and averages 130 bags per week.
